5. Lennie Rosenbluth
When it comes to scoring, few players in the history of UNC basketball can match what Lennie did. During his career at Carolina, Lenny never averaged less than 25.5 points per game, making him one of the lethal scores to ever step on the hardwood. Rosenbluth had great seasons in 1955 and ’56 but in 1957 he took his game and his team to the next level. During that memorable season, Lennie scored 27.9 points per game, he was named ACC and Helms Foundation Player of the Year en route to the National Title. The ’57 National Title game was a classic as Rosenbluth and his Tar Heels took out Wilt Chamberlain and the Kansas Jayhawks in triple overtime. That victory put an exclamation on what may have been the greatest individual season in UNC history.
