1. Billy Cunningham (1962-65)
Cunningham never won a national championship at UNC, and the teams he played for weren’t even especially good. But Cunningham was an absolute beast at North Carolina. He averaged 24.8 points per game and 15.4 rebounds per game in his four years in Chapel Hill. During his time in Chapel Hill, he was a first team all-American, academic all-American, and an ACC player of the year. What is especially noticeable is that Cunningham never had a season at Carolina when he averaged less than 22 points and 14 rebounds. A three-time all-ACC selection, Cunningham was named one of the fifty greatest players in ACC history in 2002.
