Thompson Square and Chase Rice named as ACC FanFest Performers

Per a press release sent out by the ACC today, Chase Rice and Thompson Square will be performing at the ACC Football FanFest on Saturday, December 6th, before the ACC Championship game. Here is an excerpt from that press release.

ACC FanFest, which is free and open to the public, takes place Saturday, Dec. 6, from noon to 7:00 p.m., leading up to the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. Thompson Square will perform at 4:00 p.m. and Rice will perform at 5:30 p.m. on the Dr Pepper Stage.In addition, the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award-winning Thompson Square will perform the national anthem prior to the primetime kickoff.With two #1 smash singles, five Top 15 hits, seven national awards and over 25 nominations (including American Music Award, Teen Choice Award and two GRAMMY nods), Thompson Square is one of today’s hottest Country music acts. Having Rice and Square at the FanFest performing will be a great show. Both guys are two of the hottest names in country music right now, and I think fans will really enjoy listening to those two perform.

"Although Rice has accomplished a lot in his country music career, bigger things are on the horizon for the former Survivor contestant and NASCAR pit-crew member. He has big plans of an NFL tour one day, going around to meet up with his former Tar Heel teammates and having some fun while doing it. “I remember walking around the locker room in Kenan and I’m telling all the guys, Bruce Carter, T.J. Yates, you know, all the NFL guys, Hakeem Nicks, I was like, ‘I’m telling y’all boys, one day were going to come around and do NFL tours, you guys better still be playing. It might take me a minute but I’m going to come to your city.’”"
