Before I get to the coaching grade, I’m going to include a couple other, less meaningful grades.  These are designed to boost UNC’s GPA.

Uniforms: A

Even though the Heels got blown out, they looked sharp.  I really liked the sleek white jerseys with the powder blue accents, and the white helmets were a nice touch.  These looked a lot nicer than the sweat-stain uniforms that the Heels wore against Liberty.  I’d be happy if North Carolina never wore those again.

Ryan Switzer’s Touchdown Pass: B+

Yes, this was a very nice throw by Ryan Switzer to T.J. Thorpe.  It was the Heels’ first touchdown of the game and gave the Heels some momentum.  But, to be perfectly honest, it wasn’t that great a throw.  Switzer’s throw was kind of a lame duck, that seemed to flutter in the air forever.  And it was underthrown, forcing Thorpe to double back to the ball and nearly costing the Heels a touchdown.  However, Switzer was probably the second best quarterback for North Carolina on Saturday.  The best was punter Tommy Hibbard, who threw a beautiful touchdown pass on a fake field goal.
