1. UNC will play in the Orange Bowl

Like I said, I think the Heels will win ten games.  This would be good enough to reach the ACC championship game, where they would in all likelihood face Florida State.  While I would love to believe that UNC somehow manages to beat the mighty Seminoles and reaches the College Football Playoff, where they win the National Championship, it’s simply not realistic.

This would mean that the Seminoles win the ACC, and are guaranteed to play in the Orange Bowl.  However, it is highly likely that Florida State would be headed to the College Football Playoff as one of the top four teams in the country.

In this event, the second best ACC team gets to play in the Orange Bowl instead. So, for the first time since Wake Forest in 2006-07, a football team from the state of North Carolina reaches the Orange Bowl.
