2. Norkeithus Otis, Sr. Bandit

Otis is a very good defender, who has the potential to change the game on every play.  Last season, he finished second on the Heels in sacks and tackles for loss, and tied for the team lead in forced fumbles.  And last season was just his first year getting significant playing time for the Heels.

Can Norkeithus Otis break out for the Tar Heel defense?

This year, Otis will be more comfortable, and will be able to use his explosiveness and power to wreak havoc on opposing offenses.  Otis is not just considered one of the most talented outside linebackers in the country (named to the Butkus Award Watch List), but also one of the best defensive players overall (named to the Bednarik Award Watch List).  I think he is far and away the best defensive player the Heels have going into this season.
