Yes, our fantasy team will be starting good old T.J. Yates, backup quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons. (He is ahead of Duke’s Sean Renfree on the Falcon’s depth chart!) Yates moved to Atlanta from Houston this summer and probably won’t see much of the field unless Matt Ryan gets hurt. Unluckily for us, Ryan has played in all 16 games of the Falcon’s season the last four years.
Yates has played in 15 NFL games over his three year career so far, throwing for 1,100 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions. Doesn’t look like we will be getting much production from the quarterback position this year. We will have to wait until either Marquise Williams or Mitch Trubisky gets called up to the big leagues until we have a star quarterback playing for our team.
