Before Michael Jordan laced up Nike’s or even had his own brand with Air Jordan, he sported converse. While this list is dominated by Nike and Air Jordan, there is one shoe that will forever be remembered. The Converse Pro Leather saw its hype rise in the 1980’s and one UNC star might have had something to do with that.

Michael Jordan started his legacy at North Carolina as he led the Tar Heels to the 1982 National Championship and won it with a jump shot against the Georgetown Hoyas. Jordan sported the Converse Pro Leather’s throughout the 1982 season and it was one of the first shoes to ever feature the Carolina Blue on it.
