UNC Basketball: Historical Games and Moments against NC State

Feb 6^th and 7^th 1991: The first match-up of the 1991 season was schedule for January 16^th, however it was postponed due to the outbreak in the Persian Gulf that same night. The chancellors of both schools announced together that the game was postponed to arena full of fans waiting for the game to start. The game was rescheduled for February 7^th a day after the Tar Heels played in Raleigh which meant the two rivals would play on back to back nights. Both teams won on their home floor, the Heels 92-70 win would be the program’s 1500^th win.
