UNC Basketball: Historical Games and Moments against NC State
March 8th, 1987: The Tar Heels would fall victim to another Wolfpack miracle run through the 1987 ACC Tournament as the second-ranked Heels lost 68-67 in the finals to a State team that only went 6-8 in the ACC that season for a 6th place finish. Future NBA player and head coach Vinny Del Negro was tournament MVP.
