Feb. 23rd, 2013: This game is a personal entry. A group of my friends and I made our annual trip down to the Smith Center for our first ever Carolina-State game last February. A month earlier the Wolfpack had taken out years of frustration on a young Tar Heels team and all the UNC fans knew this was game that we had to have. The energy and the emotion inside the arena at tipoff was incredible and went up another notch during the first timeout when they replayed Giovanni Bernard’s punt return for a TD. The Heels would win 76-65 behind 22 points from Reggie Bullock and P.J. Hairston dominating the universally overrated C.J. Leslie while I lost most of my voice during one of my favorite days inside the Smith Center.
