Turner’s Take: Adversity
And so, the exhilaration of a 62-point win is followed by the disappointment of a heartbreaking one-point loss. Carolina is no longer undefeated in the Larry Fedora era, and the message hit home that there is still work to do. With a trip to Louisville next weekend, the road only gets tougher. (GoHeels.com)

UNC-Wake Forest Press Conference Quotes
UNC football coach Larry Fedora on the loss to Wake Forest: ?”(It was a) hard-fought game. Got to give a lot of credit to Jim Grobe and his football team for the way they played tonight. It was a typical game for them in terms of playing hard, playing with minimal mistakes and capitalizing on the mistakes of the visiting team. Too many mistakes on our part.” (Tar Heel Illustrated)

Deacons win it at the end
North Carolina stood just minutes away from starting its season 2-0, but the Tar Heels backed off a successful running game and then self-destructed on defense. Blue and Romar Morris played well in Bernard’s absence, but the sophomore tailback is a singular weapon. (Tar Heel Monthly)

Two-team race for Andrew Wiggins?
So who is recruiting Andrew Wiggins? You’d expect that the best high school player in years would be generating tremendous interest from all over the college basketball landscape, but according to his AAU coach, outside of John Calipari and Leonard Hamilton, the other coaches “aren’t even trying.” It is assumed that Kentucky and FSU have such a large lead, that other programs haven’t been willing to expend resources on a player they have no chance for – even if that player is a program changer.
