Fedora, Tar Heels ready for display
Larry Fedora will coach his first game with UNC this Saturday when the Tar Heels host nearby FCS member Elon at Kenan Stadium, and with it should come a great deal of relief to the program’s fans and the players themselves. Bryn Renner ready to lead UNC’s no-huddle attack
Bryn Renner sounds ready to lead UNC’s no-huddle spread offense under new coach Larry Fedora. The junior regrouped from a bumpy set of spring practices by studying film, arranging extra workouts with his receivers and getting in better shape. Now, with the Tar Heels opening the season Saturday against Elon, Renner seems confident that he understands what Fedora wants to do. Raleigh News

Dexter Strickland says he’s been cleared to play
According to a tweet from North Carolina senior Dexter Strickland, he has been cleared to play less than eight months after tearing the ACL in his right knee. He suffered the injury against Virginia Tech on Jan. 19, had surgery to repair the ACL and a damaged meniscus on Feb. 9 and was cleared to run at the beginning of June. Fayettesville Observer

Should the NCAA Revisit North Carolina?
It is difficult to argue against the NCAA returning to Chapel Hill to investigate allegations of academic fraud and, frankly, it is unconscionable that they have not already. Julius Randle Tweets His Top Ten List, Includes UNC
Julius Randle has been the top priority of Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels for quite some time now. Today Julius tweeted his top ten list with Texas, Kansas, Baylor, UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Florida, NC State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Randle also mentioned that his list was in no specific order. KIH
