The UNC Football program hosted some big recruits over the weekend in Chapel Hill and were able to land a quarterback from the class

Mack Brown and his coaching staff at North Carolina have put together an impressive 2020 recruiting class in Chapel Hill, currently ranking No. 19 overall. It was Brown’s first true recruiting class in his second stint at North Carolina and it comes at the perfect time.

With all but one of the commits signed during the Early Signing Period in December, the Tar Heels are now focusing on the 2021 class which has two recruits signed. Brown and his staff held a big recruiting weekend, hosting players on both Saturday and Sunday on campus.

Going into this weekend, UNC had just safety Dontavius Nash committed to 2021 but left with one more player joining the class as quarterback Caleb Hood committed on Sunday night.

As of now, Hood is the only player to commit from the weekend visit but we have to imagine it went well in Chapel Hill. This was a big chance for Brown and their staff to make a big impression on the recruits.

With the weekend over, let’s look at the confirmed visitors that were on campus this past weekend:

The Tar Heels have a total of 95 offers out in the 2021 class with two players committed and a graduate transfer Grayson Atkins. It’s still very early in the recruiting cycle for the Tar Heels but getting these recruits on campus was a big step.
