ACC Football: Coastal Division Power Rankings Week 13
Another week of ACC Football, another round of Coastal Division Power Rankings
Week 13 was ridiculous.
Let’s start in the Big Ten with “The Game.” I feel for coach Harbaugh (and that’s tough I am a niners fan). His team got the bad end of some bad calls. A fifteen yard penalty for throwing your scorecard? Ridiculous. A no call pass interference on third down in double overtime? Ridiculous. A fourth and one that you stop only to get told you didn’t and then give up the game winning touchdown? Ridiculous.
Want to know what’s more ridiculous? What the committee is going to do with the Big Ten. If Ohio State gets in over a Penn State team that beat them, especially if the Nittany Lions win the Big Ten Championship, that is utterly ridiculous.
In the Pac-12 it is USC that has been ridiculous. The Trojans have won eight straight games, including beating both Colorado and Washington. The former two teams are representing the Pac-12 in the Championship game and not USC. Ridiculous.
In the Big 12, Texas needed just one win in their last three games to become bowl eligible. They went 0-3 in those games including losing to Kansas (in football this is bad). The Longhorns missed the bowl and their coach got fired. Ridiculous.
In the SEC, LSU was all kinds of ridiculous. First the Tigers think they have a deal with Tom Herman. Then they go out and beat A&M to end the season. Then the players rally around the interim head coach. Herman waivers, LSU punts, and Ed Oregeron gets the job of his dreams. Ridiculous.
So with that in mind this week’s ACC football Coastal Rankings will each have a ridiculous stat in them. I know these are a little later than usual but that’s what can happen after a week of ridiculous.
