UNC vs. Pitt: Photos from Tar Heels comeback win
By Zack Pearson
What a day it was in Chapel Hill on Saturday.
The North Carolina Tar Heels rallied from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to pull out the win 37-36 at Kenan Memorial Stadium. It extended their home win streak to 9 games, dating back to 2015.
It also put the Tar Heels at 1-0 in the Coastal Division.
The day was highlighted by quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who threw for 453 yards and five touchdowns on the game. It’s safe to say that the junior has officially arrived on the college level.
While the Tar Heels struggled defensively throughout the game, their defense really stepped up when they needed it to the most.
They got two key stops in the fourth quarter, giving the ball to the offense who then converted multiple fourth downs on the final drive.

With the win behind them, UNC now focuses their attention on a much tougher opponent. They will travel to Tallahassee on Saturday, October 1 to take on Florida State.
The Seminoles are 3-1 on the season, and rebounded from a big loss to Louisville to beat South Florida at home in week four.
A win over the Seminoles will surely boost UNC in the polls and give them a 2-0 start in the ACC.
