What’s been going on in the Twitter world regarding UNC?

If you’ve been reading Keeping It Heel over the years (we hope you have) you may remember a weekly segment called “Twitter Tuesday.” The staff would round up some tweets about UNC-related things on Twitter from fans, players, coaches, etc.

Well if you were a fan of the article, we have good news. It’s back.

This first version of Twitter Tuesday features some news on some former UNC basketball players,  Ryan Switzer, fans excited for Saturday’s game and much more.

Take a look!

Joel James in Japan

Joel James is balling in Japan; literally.

The former UNC center recently announced that he would be playing overseas in Japan after spending some time with the Indiana Pacers summer squad. James is already over there and has begun his season.

Congrats bro! Snag those rebounds and go hard in the paint always!

No love for Ryan Switzer?

Some fans feel that Ryan Switzer is not getting too much respect.  Class of 2016 recruit and teammate Patrice Rene took to Twitter to find out where the respect is at for his teammate.

Switzer has the potential to control a game with his expertise on special teams and as a wide receiver. He also has the chance to make some history this season if he can find the endzone on a punt return.

And Switzer’s response:

Some other fans are showing him love as well:

Harrison Barnes latest Tar Heel to get engaged

First, Marcus Paige got engaged. Now it was Harrison Barnes’ turn.

Barnes has had an exciting NBA career this far.  He won a NBA championship in 2015 and Olympic Gold medal in 2016. Plus, he went to back-to-back NBA Finals.

Barnes, don’t wake up from the dream! Congratulations Black Falcon!

A call from Peyton?

Marquise Williams, really? Who would try to impersonate Peyton Manning? Well, I would. LOL!

His commercials are hilarious.

Kendall Marshall traded

Kendall Marshall has an uncanny ability to drop one-liners and last words. Marshall is always on point! Get it?
