A three-star UNC Football commit received an offer from Florida earlier this week but should the Tar Heels be worried?
With just under a month until the college football early signing period begins in December, Mack Brown and his staff have a solid 2020 recruiting class that currently ranks in the Top 20.
North Carolina is hoping that most of, if not all, the 26 players that are currently committed sign with the Tar Heels during the early signing period. They are also hoping they can land a commitment from four-star outside linebacker Trenton Simpson as well.
But as we continue to inch closer to that early signing period, one team is hoping to poach away a recruit from the Tar Heels.
The Florida Gators officially offered three-star defensive tackle Clyde Pinder Jr. on Thursday afternoon:
Pinder Jr. committed to UNC on June 28th as the Tar Heels added the Florida native to their defensive line over the Summer. But will they have to fight off Florida?
Nothing as of now suggests that the Tar Heels are in serious danger of losing Pinder but you know how recruiting goes. Florida offering is significant and there is still time in this early recruiting cycle.
We do know one thing, it didn’t make assistant coach Tim Brewster happy:
It appears as if the Tar Heels are still in good shape to sign Pinder to their class. He’s also been rumored to be recruiting Simpson to UNC to join him. Pinder is ranked as the No. 38 defensive tackle in the class and the No. 65 player in the state of Florida.
