UNC Basketball: Romeo Langford to visit during “Late Night With Roy”

Romeo Langford has set his official visit with UNC for October

The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team just received their 2017 national championship rings during a special ceremony Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill.

Now the team turns its attention to the upcoming season in which they hope to repeat as national champions.

UNC will begin practicing in a few weeks, getting ready for the season which officially begins in November.

But before that, the school will host its annual “Late Night With Roy” event to unofficially begin the season.

The annual event is usually sold out featuring events from the women’s volleyball team as well as the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The highlight is the scrimmage at the end of the event, giving fans their first look at the team.

Each year big recruits are on campus for the event, as they check out what the school has to offer and this year will be no different.

According to Sherrell McMillan of Inside Carolina, class of 2018 recruit Romeo Langford will be in attendance.

Sources confirmed to McMillan on Sunday night that the shooting guard has set his official visit to UNC for October 13th.

Langford is the top ranked shooting guard in the 2018 class and a consensus top 5 player in the class.

UNC has been recruiting Langford for a while now and the recruit listed the Tar Heels in his top seven a few weeks back.

The visit will be his official but he did take an unofficial visit to UNC back in October of 2016.

Langford is an important recruit for the Tar Heels in the 2018 class and landing him would be huge for Williams who already has commitments from Coby White and Rechon Black.

We will update more on Langford and other recruits as we get closer to “Late Night With Roy” in October.
