James Connor. If you are a Tar Heel fan that hasn’t had time to read up on this young man’s amazing journey over the last year, please do so now. James Connor is a true inspiration to everyone in the ACC as well as the rest of the country and the rest of the Tar Heel nation sends congratulations his way for beating cancer.
This game is important for many reasons. As the ACC Coastal continues to improve, the room for error in the loss column continues to close. Over the past 3-4 years, it has seemed as though anyone with 5 wins and 3 losses had a chance to win the Coastal Division, but no anymore.
This is the first ACC game of the year for UNC, and boy oh boy is it a big one. UNC has two massive games to start ACC play and they can’t look past Pitt at you-know-who if they want to have a shot at winning the Coastal.
Last year’s game featured two 6-1 football clubs that were undefeated in ACC play. UNC won a game at Pitt in which they simply dominated throughout, although the score doesn’t reflect it. Look for surging Pitt to give UNC a hard time, but fall short.
