1. Tyler Hansbrough
Tyler Hansbrough will never be forgotten in either North Carolina history or college basketball history, not only because of his multitude of accolades, but also because of the way he played: efficient, smart, and passionate. Hansbrough is currently first in the ACC and 12th in the NCAA in scoring with 2,872 points, first in North Carolina history in rebounds (1,219), and was the 2008 National Player of the Year.
While he earned many more honors and awards during his four-year stay at North Carolina, what North Carolina fans admire most about Psycho T is his relentless aggressiveness and incredible work ethic. Hansbrough could will his team to victory over what many would consider more talented opponents when the situation presented itself. He is undefeated at Cameron-Indoor Stadium, and concluded his colorful career at North Carolina with a National Championship in 2009. While he was not exactly graceful, and may have been disliked by rival programs, he put everything he had on the court each game he put on a North Carolina jersey, and Tar Heel fans will never forget him as the greatest North Carolina player of all-time.
