The UNC Football program has extended another offer out in the 2022 recruiting class, this time offering a four-star wide receiver

Mack Brown and his UNC Football staff are fresh off a big recruiting win, landing five-star defensive back Tony Grimes on Tuesday night. The commitment of Grimes moved UNC’s 2021 class up to No. 3 overall, fresh off a Top 20 class in 2020.

With the team showing improvement last season, the excitement is at an all-time high for the program and the future looks really bright.

But while the Tar Heels have that 2021 class looking good, Brown and his staff are not forgetting about future classes.

On Wednesday, the Tar Heels officially extended an offer to a four-star receiver in the 2022 recruiting class. Dakota Twitty revealed on Twitter that he is the latest recruit to earn an offer from the Tar Heels:

The 6-foot-3, 135-pound Twitty is a Mooresboro native and plays his high school basketball at Thomas Jefferson Class Academy. He’s ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 225 prospect in the nation, No. 29 receiver and No. 10 player in the state of North Carolina by 247 Sports.

He has a total of 15 offers so far in his recruitment, drawing interest from Kentucky, Louisville, NC State and Virginia amongst others.

Twitty is the 42nd offer for the Tar Heels in that 2022 class but they have yet to land a commitment from a prospect. It’s still very early in the cycle and the commitments will certainly come down the line.
