A recruiting analyst makes his prediction for a top UNC Basketball recruiting target after he visited campus last weekend

It’s no secret the North Carolina Tar Heels have made five-star combo guard Cole Anthony a priority in their 2019 recruiting class. UNC has been in pursuit of Anthony for months now and he’s taken one official visit and three unofficial visits to Chapel Hill in that time.

But his last unofficial visit may have been the most important one.

Anthony was one of the recruits on campus for Saturday’s win over Duke which clinched the ACC Regular Season title for the Tar Heels. It was a big recruiting weekend for both the basketball and football program and it may have been the biggest in terms of their chances on landing Anthony.

The recruit documented his trip on Instagram, dancing around during pregame, sitting next to his best friend and UNC commit Armando Bacot, as well as hitting Franklin Street and buying stuff from Johnny T-Shirt. Overall, it looks like his visit went great.

Following Anthony’s visit, UNC has to feel good about their chances.

Rivals recruiting analyst Corey Evans has brought up the possibility of Oregon standing in UNC’s way of landing Anthony in the past. But on Thursday, Evans made his prediction for where Anthony will land.

Evans put in his official pick on the Rivals Forecast, which serves as their prediction tool for recruits. He believes that Anthony will indeed land with the Tar Heels when he’s ready to commit.

As for a timetable on when he will commit, Anthony has yet to reveal an official date. It could come at anytime, although it’s likely to happen after the season.

Landing Anthony would be huge for UNC’s 2019 recruiting class which has center Armando Bacot and point guard Jeremiah Francis already signed. It would also boost their class ranking significantly.
