The UNC Football program is hosting a big recruiting weekend over the next few days just ahead of National Signing Day

A recruiting weekend in December proved to be big for the North Carolina Tar Heels football program in the Early Signing Period. New head coach Mack Brown hosted recruits in early December and turned what was a 90th ranked class into a Top 40 class as we enter 2019.

With National Signing Day just under a month away, the no contact period is over and the Tar Heels are once again holding a big weekend with recruits visiting.

Recruits from both the 2019 and 2020 classes will be on campus this weekend as UNC will hope to make a lasting impression and improve their chances.

Here is the list of 2019 recruits that will be on campus this weekend:

And some class of 2020 recruits that will be visiting:

The Tar Heels are showing significant interest in all of these recruits and with the dead contact period over, Brown is hoping to land at least a few verbals in the 2019 class.

There are some interesting recruits in that 2019 list that are visiting including JUCO transfer Ray Vohasek out of Illinois. He’s visited UNC once before and will make a second official visit this weekend. That’s a good sign for the Tar Heels chances to land him.

Center Ty Murray is currently committed to Louisville but UNC’s offer has since opened up his recruitment more.

Both of the receivers visiting are huge targets for the Tar Heels’ offense as they hope to add more talent on that side of the football. With Sam Howell already committed in 2019, building around him for the next few years will be key.

More names can be added to the list as soon as we find out who is on campus. For complete coverage of the weekend, please check back with Keeping It Heel.
