Back in March, LaVar Ball said he would destroy Michael Jordan one on one. Four months later, the GOAT responds.

LaVar Ball.

Maybe you’ve heard of him? If you haven’t he is the outspoken (and that’s putting it nicely) father of Los Angeles Lakers’ rookie guard Lonzo Ball.

LaVar who made headlines this past weekend for his role in the Adidas AAU tournament has become infamous for making huge statements about anything and everything.

He has questioned Lebron James’ parenting skills and told a female reporter to “stay in her lane.”

He also claims he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one in basketball. The claim came in a March interview where Ball said that he would easily beat Jordan because Jordan wasn’t fast enough and couldn’t handle Ball down low.

In fact, iif Jordan did stop LaVar, he would just call a foul. That’s right, he was going to be that guy.

Well, four months later Jordan finally responded to the Big Baller Brand creator. When asked if this was true at his Flight School summer camp, Jordan said the following:

“It doesn’t deserve a response, but I’m [going to] give it to you because you asked the question. I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged.”

There is a reason he is the GOAT.

The truth is as much as people want LaVar to go away, he is here. He is trying to be the headline and he is getting airtime.

As much as I appreciate what Jay Bilas wrote, and he is right, unless more people refuse to write about it or refuse him interviews, or anything else, he is going to continue to get clicks and be in the public perception.

So as long as that is the case, then he needs to be put in his place much like Lebron did and MJ did.

Ignoring him just isn’t going to work.

People need to call him out for his ridiculous statements and let him make a bigger fool of himself like he did after he heard Jordan’s response. The only other answer is to hold him to it and make him prove it.

Because honestly Jordan would beat Ball in his heyday 11-0 and would do the same today, and then what would be his excuse. All I know for sure is he would have one, because when does he not.
