The North CarolinaTar Heels are in the Final Four after a dramatic finish to beat Kentucky. Where do they rank among the 25 ultimate players remaining?

More from UNC Basketball

It is finally here, the Final Four.

And for the second straight season, the Tar Heels are in it.

Of course, they are joined by three other teams. So how did those teams get there?

Well, each team has a different story but players have stepped up and helped pave a path to the final weekend.

This year was declared the year of the freshman.

However, the bulk of playing time of the four Final Four teams is taken up by juniors and seniors.

Additionally, each team’s league’s Player of the Year winner is in the Final Four.

So who are the 25 Ultimate players remaining in the Final Four? I am glad you asked. Again using my ultimate player rankings (a better description can be found here), I took what each player has done in the last four games and ranked them accordingly.

Now I know what you’re thinking, four games that is such a small sample size. You’re right it is and I typically wouldn’t be a fan of using such a small sample size to rank anything.

However, this is the tournament, so we want who is playing the best now, not who may have had a great start or middle of the season, as we did with the ACC Ultimate Player Rankings.

Remember these rankings look beyond points and more to what a player does on the whole with his minutes, how efficient he is with his opportunity. I also required a player play at least 60 minutes in the tournament thus far.

So without further ado, here are the top 25 players remaining in the Final Four.
