A new season of college football means a new set of ACC Coastal Power Rankings.

College Football has finally returned.

Seriously it has.

In the first game in Australia since 1987, California crushed Hawaii 51-31 Friday night.

However, that game was just the beginning. Thanks to the college football playoff, teams are scheduling tougher. And that means better games.

This opening week alone there is four games featuring match-ups between top 25 teams. Three of those games feature power five schools playing each other. In addition, there are another eight games between power five schools.

Opening weekend also features conference games from the ACC and SEC. Oh and Hawaii attempts to play another game eight days later against Michigan. The distance traveled from Sydney to Lansing? 9,406 miles. Isn’t college football great?

The other thing college football brings? The return of the ACC Coastal Power rankings and the KIH rankings guru. No need to throw a parade, I know you missed me. So let’s get started as always with a team that knows the bottom better than most.
