2016 Tar Heel Starters: Offense 

With football less than 2 months away, it’s time to take a look at this years projected starting lineups for the Tar Heels. This week we will take a look at the offense and follow up with the defense next week.

Before we dive into the projected starting lineups, let’s take a look back at how the 2015 Tar Heel offense finished on a national level.

  • #12 in the Nation in Total Yardage (6,816 Total Yards) 2nd in the ACC behind Clemson
  • 335 Total First Downs, 13th in the Nation (2nd in the ACC behind Clemson)
  • #13 in the Nation in rushing yards (3,142 Total Yards) 2nd in the ACC behind Clemson
  • 31 Passing Touchdowns, 16th in the Nation (2nd in the ACC behind Clemson)
  • 7th in the nation (1st in the ACC) with 40 Total Rushing Touchdowns

With 7 returning starters on offense and a well prepared Mitch Trubsiky behind center, the Tar Heels look to be on track for another amazing offense year.
