As the NBA Draft approaches, we take a look back at some bad draft picks out of UNC

What constitutes a draft bust?

That is a great question because it means different things to different people. A lot of people see value in different things and therefore may see a player as being valuable when others don’t. For instance is Sam Bowie a bust because he didn’t have a great career or because he was selected before Michael Jordan the greatest player of all time?

Therein lie the question and no doubt the controversy. What follows is what are 10 of the worst draft picks in UNC’s history. First of all, there are only first round picks here. Second round picks rarely make teams and any one picked after the second round (some drafts went up to like round 10) should definitely not be counted on.

So without further ado, here are the 10 worst draft picks from the University of North Carolina (in reverse order), starting with a pair of small forwards from the late 1950’s.
