Having a slow Thursday afternoon in the summer? Wishing you were at the beach or on vacation? Here is a video that will surely cheer you up. In 2005, North Carolina was ranked number two in the country and were looking like favorites to win the National Title. Like any team, they had their growing pains. But they peaked at the end of the season and were on a roll heading into the ACC and NCAA tournaments. However, one team remained that could not be overlooked- the Duke Blue Devils. The Blue Devils were coming into town and were looking to spoil the Tar Heel’s senior day festivities. Check out what happened next…

Told you it would cheer you up! That is one of the all-time great moments in Carolina basketball history, and there have been a lot of them. The 2005 Tar Heels would go on to win the National Championship in St. Louis a few weeks later against Illinois, capping off a season that will never ever be forgotten.

Many people agree that Marvin Williams’s and-one shot in that game was the loudest they have ever heard the Dean Dome. Other candidates would probably include a more recent play- Brice Johnson’s dunk against Kentucky last season. But it will be hard to ever top the noise and excitement that stemmed from that play.

Let us know in the comments where were you when that game happened? Were you lucky enough to be at the game, or were you watching on Franklin Street or at home? Who were you cheering with? Friends and family, or 25,000 of your closest friends at the Dean Dome?
