UNC Football: ESPN releases ACC predictions

It’s mid-July and college football season is right around the corner. So its no surprise that media outlets are releasing their predictions for the upcoming season. ESPN is the latest to do so, and Tar Heel fans should enjoy it.

ESPN predicts the North Carolina Tar Heels to finish 9-4 and win the ACC Coastal Division. That would put the Tar Heels up against the defending national champions, Florida State in the ACC Championship Game. ESPN has Florida State finishing 12-1 as the best team in the conference.

The Tar Heels are also given a 10.1% chance of winning the ACC and a .23% chance of finishing undefeated. The odds of winning the Coastal Division are good for the Tar Heels with their toughest competition coming against Miami and Pittsburgh. Depending on if they can build off a successful season last year, Duke is also in the conversation for the Coastal Division.

Just a heads up, beware of the comments on the article. People are ragging on UNC big time.
