Eric Ebron Proposes to Brittany Rountree Before the NFL Draft

If I was to pick one North Carolina Tar Heel to be winning at life this week, it would be Eric Erbon. The former UNC football standout had a very eventful two-day stretch. He got drafted No. 10 to the Detroit Lions in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday, and appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. That fails in comparison to what happened just hours before his name was called.

Whoever said chivalry was dead could learn something from what he did next. Eric Ebron took his girlfriend, Tar Heel basketball player Brittany Rountree, to the top of the Empire State Building and popped the question. She said yes and then got to see her fiancé get selected in the top 10 of the 2014 NFL draft.

So Ebron now has a Jimmy Fallon appearance, an NFL contract and one of the best young offenses in football, and most importantly a beautiful fiancé all in a two-day stretch. I think it’s safe to say that as of right now, May 8th, 2014 is the best day in that young man’s life.
