Duke beats UNC: Final and Photo Gallery

The North Carolina Tar Heels fell to the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday night 93-81. Freshman Jabari Parker had a season-high 30 points in victory. Rodney Hood also added in 24 points for Duke.

UNC was led by Marcus Paige, who had 24 points for the Tar Heels. Brice Johnson had 15 and James Michael McAdoo had 13, but the Heels couldn’t overcome disadvantages on the glass to mount a big enough comeback.

UNC had one of its better shooting nights, shooting 31-52 from the floor for just under 60% and 41% from three point land. Duke actually had a worse shooting night, finishing at 50% from the field and 35% from three. It was the rebounding difference and the contributions from Parker and Hood that won the ballgame for Duke.

The game was the last game on the regular season schedule for both teams. The ACC tournament is next, and after that, the NCAA tournament. UNC has hopes of a four or possibly a three seed, while Duke kept its hopes of a one seed alive tonight with the win.
