UNC Basketball: Duke beats UNC if...the Tar Heels get the flu

USA Today’s Jason Jordan is having some fun with the recruits of North Carolina and Duke this week with their first anticipated match-up of the season on Wednesday. Jordan asked each of the recruits who would win Wednesday’s game but also asked each of them how the other team would win. Duke recruits obviously pick Duke to win and UNC recruits have picked UNC, Harry Giles on the other hand picked them both.

All three North Carolina recruits have predicted a UNC victory over Duke in Chapel Hill on Wednesday. Theo Pinson says Duke will need him to win the game, Joel Berry says that he would need to be a Cameron Crazy, and now Justin Jackson states his case:

The winning team will be…

“I’ve gotta go with UNC! I’d say 69-64. UNC is starting to click and this would be a perfect game to keep it going. Plus, when UNC and Duke play the records and rankings go out the window because of how great a rivalry it is.”

Duke wins if…

“The whole UNC roster comes down with a 24-hour flu.”

Jackson will be in Chapel Hill with Theo Pinson for the game on Wednesday night. Both players will get to experience the rivalry for the first time as ‘Tar Heels’ and are excited to be able to attend the game.
