According to reports, the most anticipated football game on schedule for the North Carolina Tar Heels (against NC State) is set to take place at the end of the season. A report coming out late Tuesday evening states that North Carolina will host the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the regular season finale at Kenan Memorial Stadium.

According to a league source with knowledge of the ACC football schedule, North Carolina will host N.C. State on the final Saturday of the 2014 regular season.

The game at Kenan Stadium on Nov. 29 will be the first time that the Tar Heels will conclude their ACC schedule with a home game against their long-time rival. The teams played at N.C. State to end the 2009 and 1995 seasons and also in Charlotte to end the 1998 season.

North Carolina could never defeat the Wolfpack with former head coach Butch Davis at the helm, but since Larry Fedora’s arrival, the Tar Heels have been an absolute nightmare for the Wolfpack.

This report comes just hours after sources revealed the Tar Heels would play the Duke Blue Devils on a Thursday night in 2014.

The ACC is scheduled to officially announced the 2014 conference schedule later today – Wednesday.
