UNC Football: ACC officially releases 2014 football schedule

North Carolina can officially announced their 2014 football schedule to the public. The non-conference and ACC opponents have been announced for sometime now, but until today the Tar Heels didn’t know when and where they would be playing.

Elijah Hood will get to play in South Bend after all as one of the most intriguing match-ups next season for UNC is on the road against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Tar Heels will kick off 2014 at home against the Liberty Flames and as reported last night, will end the season against in-state rival North Carolina State. Also as expected, North Carolina will travel to Durham to play in a prime-time showdown on Thursday night.

UNC will begin conference play against the Clemson Tigers, and while the Tigers have a slow start to conference play, North Carolina is 1-12 in the past on their ACC kick-off games.
