The college basketball season is just a little more than half way over. Can you believe it?

For North Carolina, it hasn’t been the start the Heels have hoped for. They currently sit at 11-7 overall and 4-1 in ACC play. They do have big wins over ranked teams like Michigan State, Louisville and Kentucky. But they also have bad losses on their resume.

With a bad start in ACC play the Tar Heels schedule becomes more and more important if they want to make a run at the NCAA Tournament. Just 13 games remain on the schedule and all of them are important for the Heels.

I’ve gone through and picked five important games for the Heels that remain. Some are obvious, but hopefully I found one or two that might have been a surprise.
