Former North Carolina Tar Heel basketball player Will Graves was cited yesterday for drug possession. Graves who rents his home from head coach Roy Williams. Graves is due in court for drug charges which was also why he was dismissed from the team in 2010.
According to the police report, Graves was not arrested yesterday, but is due in court on February 3rd, 2014.
Police say Graves consented to a search of the home on Dec. 6, according to the WTVD. Officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home including marijuana “seeds,” “three blunts,” and “two burnt blunts,” according to the police report. – USA Today
UNC stated yesterday that Graves was renting the home from Williams while he completed his degree from the University of North Carolina. Graves was paying rent to Williams, who in return stated that he is very disappointed in Graves and the incident.
While no longer a member of the team, this is obviously more unwanted and unneeded press that UNC will be getting. No doubt Kentucky, Duke, and North Carolina State message boards are having a field day with Graves arrest.
