North Carolina Tar Heels top Kentucky Wildcats in 82-77 thriller

North Carolina v. Kentucky never disappoints and tonight’s game in Chapel Hill was no exception. The No. 18 Tar Heels defeated the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats at home despite struggling at the free throw line.

James Michael McAdoo came to play tonight after facing criticism so far this season for not meeting expectations. McAdoo came through big for the Tar Heels tonight scoring twenty points, grabbing five rebounds, and four assists!

Marcus Paige kept quiet in the first half, but still managed to play big in the second half. Paige had twenty-three points in tonight’s game.

Kentucky for the first time this season was not led by Julius Randle who only scored 11 points (his fewest points scored this season) but Aaron Harrison with twenty points.

Before the game was over, Carolina fans returned the favor to Kentucky from two years ago with “overrated” chants, but not without giving the Tar Heels one last fight in the game.

Carolina has four home games remaining before starting ACC conference play at Wake Forest. North Carolina is also undefeated against ranked teams this season, 3-0!

They will play the Texas Longhorns next in Chapel Hill!
