UNC Basketball Recruiting: Seventh Woods gets an offer from the Tar Heels

Seventh Woods, a combo guard from South Carolina, is already being labeled the next big thing in college basketball. The 2016 recruit has been turning heads for a couple of years now at such a young age and is starting to get offers from the best basketball programs in the nation.

TarHeelIllustrated.com confirmed that Roy Williams visited Woods and offered him a scholarship to play for the University of North Carolina.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the young guard play yet, take a look at this:

Woods has steller defending ability and once he grabs that ball he can get it down court and slam it into the basket for an easy score. His awareness allows him to drive the ball around and through the middle of defenders and still get to the rim. Woods makes it seem like an easy two points.

As of today (10/26), Woods now has four scholarship offers after receiving an offer from UNC. East Carolina, NC State, and South Carolina have all made an offer to Woods to play for their perspective schools.

Woods made an unofficial visit earlier this month to Duke University and toured the campus and visited the facilities and staff.

North Carolina has been hard on the recruiting trail in the past few months and don’t seem to be taking a rest any time soon. The offer to Woods shows that Roy is ready to pursue big players and get that third national championship. Maybe this offer will also show his doubters that Roy knows what he doing.
