The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to kick off their 2013-14 season this Friday with the annual Late Night with Roy. In preparation for the upcoming season not only do we want to profile and re-introduce each of the returning players, but we want you to be familiarized with the new faces of Carolina Basketball.
Nate Britt joins the team this year after averaging 6.7 points and five assists for Oak Hill Academy his senior year after spending three seasons playing for Gonzaga College High School.
Britt suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee that forced him to miss two months of his senior year, but he was able to return in February.
Prior to joining Oak Hill, Britt played for the U-18 USA team in the Brazil games.
With the indefinite suspension of PJ Hairston, head coach Roy Williams has said that he hasn’t decided if he will go with a big or super small lineup, but has said that Britt will play alongside of returning sophomore point guard Marcus Paige at times during games this season.
Wearing the No. 0 jersey, Britt looks to make his mark and write his name down in Tar Heel history. His journey will begin Friday when UNC kicks off the season with Late Night and their Blue White Game.
