For the second week in a row freshman running back TJ Logan has been named the North Carolina Tar Heels starting running back. Last week against the Miami Hurricanes was Logan’s first start in his young college football career. This week against the Boston College Eagles, Logan will return to Kenan Memorial Stadium as the stating running back.
Logan rushed for sixty-one yards against Miami last week producing one of the best rushing numbers since the departure of Gio Bernard after last season. Romar Morris rushed for sixty-nine yards against the South Carolina Gamecocks earlier this season, but since then, the rushing attack of North Carolina has been well short of glory.
Logan spent much of the first half of the season injured after suffering an injury during summer camp. Since being able to play Logan has shown a lot of potential on the field. He has shown his speed, athleticism, and awareness and impressed many people early on.
“I still don’t think we’ve seen him where he’s going to be,” Fedora said. “Each week he feels a little more comfortable. … I think he’ll just get better each week.” (Source: News-Record)
Despite being naming Logan as the starting tailback, Fedora plans to continue using a rotation at the running back position where he has four options to choose from.
Logan and the Tar Heels take on Boston College this Saturday at 3:30 PM!
