December 4th at Michigan State

This will be North Carolina’s first real road test of the season, as they will head to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans. According to a poll by ESPN, Michigan State is entering the season as the 3rd ranked team in the nation, behind Kentucky and the defending champions the Louisville Cardinals.

Last time North Carolina and Michigan State met, it was in the Carrier Classic, which was obviously played on an Aircraft carrier, the opening game of the 2011-2012 season, which was the last year of Tyler Zeller, John Henson, Harrison Barnes, and Kendall Marshall. The Tar Heels won the game 67-55, as Harrison Barnes led the way with 17 points.

Michigan State will be the favorites going into this years match-up, and will be looking to revenge the loss they suffered in the last meeting between the two teams.
