UNC Basketball: Tar Heels Schedule Released

Just months away from basketball season and the hype is already building around Chapel Hill. Today the University of North Carolina Athletic Department officially released the 2013-2014 men’s basketball schedule to the public.

It all begins with the annual season kickoff, Late Night with Roy Williams on October 25 at the Dean Smith Center!

Teams that highlight the non-conference schedule this year are Texas, Michigan State, and after a once year absence Kentucky makes a return. There is also a chance, a rather big one based on the competition, that the Tar Heels will meet the defending NCAA National Champions from Louisville.

Of course the tradition showdowns between the Tar Heels and Duke and North Carolina State are featured, but one underrated ACC series is that of North Carolina and Notre Dame. One of the three newest members of the ACC are always lurking around and waiting for an opportunity.

Another newcomer to the ACC is Syracuse. They will get to see their first look at the Tar Heels as conference foes when the Tar Heels travel up North to take on the Orange.

With all the hype surrounding Kentucky’s recruiting class, I think most can agree with me when I say, bring it on Wildcats! This time, you’re coming to our house!

It would be helpful if in your schedule, you put whether the game was home or away.
