Tonight Reggie Bullock begins a new phase in life as he expands into the depths of professional basketball. After solid seasons of providing great depth for Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels, Bullock has decided to enter this year’s NBA Draft.
Throughout the entire pre-draft season Bullock has been working hard to prove himself. Many early mock drafts had him listed as a second round player who would be lucky to even be drafted in that round. In the prior weeks of tonight, Bullock found himself being mentioned as a first round pick more often than not.
Unlike most predictions, it was the Los Angeles Clippers who decided he was the best fit for their basketball program.
Just days after acquiring Doc Rivers, the Clippers continue to build a stronger team with the excellent shooting of Reggie Bullock.
The junior from Kinston, North Carolina forgoes his senior year after a 13.9 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game season. The Tar Heels relied heavily on Bullock and his three point shot until they allowed PJ Hairston to explode onto the scene.
The choice to draft Bullock by Rivers shows that the Clippers are looking to file in role players as their starting lineup seems fined tuned and successful as is.
