Cameron Albright Commits to Tar Heels at Fedora's Freak Show

After the announcement of Fedora’s Freak Show event today, I pondered what on earth this strangely named event truly was. Whatever it was, it appeared to please many of the recruits in attendence and especially one in particular.

Inside Carolina’s Don Callahan is reporting that four-star safety Cam Albright committed to the University of North Carolina before he left today’s events.

Albright is a 6’2″, 207 pound safety from Kennesaw, Georgia’s North Cobb High School. He made the trip to Chapel Hill from the Atlanta suburb this weekend as a big target on Fedora’s recruiting board for the class of 2014 and left as one of Fedora’s players for next year.

He accepted the offer from North Carolina while turning down offers from Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Mississippi State, NC State, Texas Tech, UCF, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. He has heavy interest in Florida State, but never received an offer from the Seminoles.

Albright is the eleventh player to commit to North Carolina for the football class of 2014. Currently North Carolina ranks 31st in the 2014 recruiting class in the nation and 8th in the conference. A slow start thus far, but the recruiting class if far from over. If 2013 was successful, just imagine what another year of success on the gridiron and in recruiting can do for Larry Fedora in the future.
