Curry is a former North Carolina Tar Heel who made a name for himself with the Oakland Raiders. He has since struggled to make the active rosters for the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams. Since 2010, he has faded in the distance of the NFL.

As a player in the NFL he received for 2,347 yards and scored thirteen touchdowns.

Now he returns to a rather solid position with the 49ers as an offensive assistant.

“The 49ers and our staff are pleased to be initiating Ronald’s NFL coaching career,” Coach Harbaugh said in a released statement. “Our team will greatly benefit from Ronald’s athletic experiences.”

Since his time in the NFL has been working with the football program at Morrisville High School in North Carolina.

At the University of North Carolina, Curry scored twenty-eight touchdowns and received for 4,987 yards.
