What’s up Tar Heel nation. As the high school season is wrapping up, AAU basketball is starting in full force. A very offensive minded game of basketball where the top prospects can show off their skills to the college coaches. This past weekend the Nike EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League) kicked off in Los Angeles California for the opening of the season. For the Tar Heels, lots of prospects participated over the weekend including commits Justin Jackson and Joel Berry. The other prospects included all four of the two guards with offers and 2015 power forward Ivan Rabb who UNC offered earlier in the year.

With Ivan Rabb having the only offer in 2015, Tar Heel fans are looking at the next class of 2014 to see who the final wing will be. Justin Jackson and Rashad Vaughn had the strongest performances of all the list with consistency in scoring the basketball. Devin Booker and Joel Berry each made a consistent impact for their respected teams as well. Theo Pinson and D’Angelo Russell also made some positive impacts during the weekend as well. Each team will continue to play the upcoming weekend with hopes of playing in the Nike Peach Jam Finals in July. Here are links for the stat lines from the past weekend.
