Andrew Wiggins basically went out and crowned the Kentucky Wildcats as next years national champion if he chooses UK. His comments at first glance, make it seem obvious he’s at least leaning towards forming perhaps the greatest college basketball recruiting class of all time. Here’s what he had to say:
“If I went to that team we’d win it all, for sure, because there’s nothing anyone can do with me,Julius [Randle], the Harrison twins, Marcus Lee, Dakari [Johnson] and James Young. That’s something special.” Zags Blog
Doesn’t sound good unless you’re a Kentucky fan, and I’m betting most of you are not. At the same time, Wiggins has completely evaded revealing any type of clue as to where he intends on playing his college basketball. I’m reminded of the Harrison Barnes recruitment, all the “experts” and most fans had him in Duke blue until he skyped Roy Williams and told him he was headed to Carolina.

The point here is nobody knows, maybe Wiggins has made his choice, maybe he’s still mulling it over. In any case I expect that only Wiggins himself, his parents and his high school coach truly know what is going on here, the rest is just pure speculation.
