Kendall Marshall played best basketball in last two games
Against the Jazz Wednesday night, former No. 13 overall pick Kendall Marshall had 13 assists and held Utah guard Mo Williams to eight points on 3-of-9 shooting. In Thursday night’s 14-point loss to the Kings, Marshall wasn’t highly effective at the defensive end against Isaiah Thomas, but he became the first Suns rookie since Negele Knight (1991) to have back-to-back 10-assist performances. Bentley Spain was sitting in class when he received a text message Wednesday saying he had been invited to compete in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. “I had to contain myself,” he said. And as is the case with many young talents, coaching Long comes with its own unique set of challenges. Very unique in this case. Long has taken unofficial visits to Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Wake Forest. Long will play on the summer circuit with the Carolina Diamonds. (MaxPreps.com)
